The Leeds Grid

How to play

Nine squares, nine guesses, a century of Leeds players. Here’s the lot.
  1. 01

    Fill the grid

Each square sits where a row clue meets a column clue. Name a Leeds United player who matches BOTH - e.g. a Defender who played under Bielsa. One grid a day, the same for everyone, refreshing at midnight UTC.

  2. 02

    Nine guesses

You get nine guesses to fill the nine squares. Right or wrong, every guess counts - and a wrong guess burns that square. A player can only be used once per grid, so spend them wisely.

  3. 03

    Score & rarity

Your score is how many of the nine you solve. You also get a rarity score: the more obscure your correct pick (the fewer other players who chose them), the higher it climbs. Safe legends score low; deep cuts score big.

  4. 04

    Collect the stickers

Every collectible player you correctly name joins your sticker book, filed into the era they belong to. Solve them on the daily and you earn the gold FOIL sticker, stamped with the day. Pick them up in free play and you get the standard version.

  5. 05

    Keep your streak

Play and finish the daily every day to build your streak. Miss a day and it resets to zero - so don’t break the chain. Streaks have their own leaderboard.

  6. 06

    Free play the archive

Want a player you’re missing? Free play lets you replay any past grid with unlimited guesses and no pressure - no streak, no score, just collecting. Finish today’s daily first to claim free-play stickers.

  7. 07

    Guest or signed in
